Liverpool linked with another potential summer Bayern raid

Fresh from the huge disappointment of seeing Liverpool's potential quadruple dream come to an end following our defeat to Manchester United in Sunday's FA Cup quarter final clash, this could still be a phenomenally successful final season for manager Jurgen Klopp before he departs at the end of the campaign.

For those players who have not travelled off for their countries duties in the end of March international break, they now have a little bit of downtime to clear their heads and to channel any frustration and anger into ensuring we end 2023/24 with the biggest high possible.

That, of course, begins when we return to action and welcome Roberto De Zerbi's Brighton and Hove Albion side to Anfield for our last game of the month, and that could well be a very tasty encounter now. For those who love the best football players, clever on-field tactics and the fun of the casino, sports-themed casino games blend it perfectly. One of the best slot games for football fans is "Football Frenzy". This game captures the spirit of football in each spin. It plunges players into a real stadium vibe with cheering crowds and match day energy. Spinning reels adorned with football icons bring the joy of winning big, just like scoring a perfect goal.

With it being the international break though, that means a bigger return for transfer rumour mill speculation as domestic clubs news goes a little bit more quiet during these breaks, and whilst there are some interesting rumours doing the rounds, as we are yet to appoint a new sporting director, and it is a logical assumption that any new manager who comes in to replace Klopp will want to have a say on any future business, even the more exciting transfer links do have to be taken with a pinch of salt at this minute.

Given that Bayer Leverkusen gaffer Xabi Alonso is more than being touted in some corners as a potential option for the dug out during the summer, one link maybe worth remembering is our continued apparent interest in the Bundesliga leaders' 22 year old defender Piero Hincapie.

This is not the first time we have been linked with an interest in a Leverkusen player, as 20 year old 14 capped German international attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz featured on the rumour mill a good few weeks ago.

Going back to 30 capped Ecuadorian Hincapie, it is being claimed in some reports that we have now stepped up our checks on the player with the summer almost being with us, and that he has been of long term interest to us, as we have been loosely keeping tabs on him for the last two seasons, and we are now even more impressed with the progress that he has been making. In golfing parlance, his stock is that high at the moment that many would consider him to be a 'Hole in One' choice for further strengthening and firming up our defensive ranks and many would hope he becomes even more reliable than a themed slot game from Amaya Gaming.

Whilst predominantly a centre half, he has the versatility to play as a left back or left sided midfielder, and he has been a mainstay in Alonso's first team squad this year.

With us being linked, some fans may take the opportunity to watch him in action as Leverkusen are set to face fellow Premier League side West Ham United in the quarter finals of the Europa League. The player did sign a new long term deal at the BayArena only last February, but we all know money talks in the game and our chances of tempting him over to Merseyside would surely only increase if the Alonso rumours prove to be true, given how much faith our former midfielder has placed in him since he became manager.

There will undoubtedly be a plethora of further transfer speculation as we head towards the end of the campaign, and with plenty of off pitch changes that will take place, it will be interesting to see just how we do line up at the beginning of the 2024/25 campaign.
