Player profile

Glasgow-born centre-half Cadden signed for Liverpool in June 1948 after impressing the club's management on their USA tour. He moved to the States after being discharged from the Army at the end of World War II. He didn't make his debut until 23 September 1950, by which time he had already passed his thirtieth birthday. Only four more first-team appearances followed before he was transferred to Grimsby in July 1952 where he only made one appearance in Third Division North before moving to Accrington Stanley in the same division where he played 17 League games.
