First picture of new Liverpool signing Barragan

Liverpool has signed promising right back Antonio Barragan from Sevilla. Barragan is born on 12th June 1987 in Sevilla and has been raised by Sevilla since he was a little kid. Barragan has still to play for Sevilla's first team. When it was time for him to sign a professional contract at Sevilla, he refused and he will move to Liverpool.

Sevilla sporting director Ramon Rodriguez said earlier: "He has been negotiating with Liverpool for the past six months. The FIFA rules regarding young players who do not have professional contracts have favoured us on many occasions and this time it is Liverpool who have taken advantage of them to take the player. We tried to keep him, but the player has freely chosen another route. We have looked after him, but he has decided to leave Sevilla."

Barragan is a regular in the Spanish U-18 team and Liverpool will have to pay some compensation for him depending on his progress at Liverpool.

Barragan will first feature in the reserve team as he has time on his side. The Rafalution continues!
