Can Liverpool win their 7th Champions League title this season?

The infamous 2019 night in Madrid still lives long in the memory of every Liverpool fan, with the comfortable 2-0 win over Tottenham securing the 6th Champions League/European Cup triumph in the club’s history.

With a first Premier League title in 30 years to follow soon after, Jurgen Klopp has overseen a renaissance period of sorts at Anfield in recent years.

A Carabao Cup final looms again this term too, as Liverpool chase a first domestic cup trophy since 2012 and with the FA Cup also something to go for this term, Liverpool are fighting on four fronts currently.

In the Champions League, a mouth-watering draw in the last 16 awaits with Inter Milan and with both the San Siro and Anfield sure to be rocking, two famous European nights are in prospect.

As six-time winners Liverpool are as adept as they come at turning up for big nights in the Champions League, with the infamous Anfield European atmosphere one of the most notorious in the footballing world.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are packed with quality, in every area of the field and they have a proven track record at turning up for big games – particularly in knockout competitions.

The reds will be looking to emulate their 2019 triumph at 11/2 with the bet365 offer and claim their 7th Champions League title in 2022.

Premier League leaders and current champions Manchester City are a thorn in the side of Liverpool and for all their domestic dominance in recent years, the Champions League continues to elude City.

They are the favourites to finally break their hoodoo in 2022 at 7/2 and Pep Guardiola’s side are always tough to beat.

2020 champions Bayern Munich don’t face too much competition week in, week out in the Bundesliga – running away with the title for the last 8 seasons.

However, they are a side well versed in Champions League football and at 4/1 to win the famous trophy again this season – they could sneak under the radar somewhat.

Defending champions Chelsea defied the odds somewhat last year to win their second Champions League title and first under the stewardship of Thomas Tuchel.

The blues have stuttered somewhat in the Premier League in recent weeks, losing ground in the title race and could put their full attention into the cup competitions as a result.

Chelsea are currently 8/1 to win back-to-back Champions Leagues in 2022.

Another side looking to break their Champions League duck is Paris Saint Germain.

Similarly, to Manchester City, the Parisians have spent a huge amount of money on their project and winning European football’s biggest trophy would be the ultimate vindication for all involved in the club’s rise to French footballing powerhouse.

With a front three of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr, few sides in the world can boast a forward line quite as potent and should PSG manage to find the right balance in their side, they could be tough to stop this season.

They are 9/1 to finally win the Champions League – a price that looks to hold a fair amount of value.

Real Madrid have snuck under the radar somewhat under Carlo Ancelotti this season and they look to be finding confidence once more.

Nobody has surpassed Real Madrid’s haul of 13 European Cup/Champions League titles, and they are always worth an outside bet at 20/1.
