Which are Liverpool’s best managers of all time?

When a given football club achieves something, such as winning the Champions League, most people give credit only to the players. While it’s true that they are the ones that are playing on the field, to be successful, the players need strong leadership. This is where the role of the manager comes to play.

Liverpool is one of the most popular football clubs in the UK, so it probably doesn’t come as a surprise that the team has had some of the best managers in the world. With that being said, let’s take a look at some of the most popular ones.

Jürgen Klopp

The first manager on this list is from Germany, and he is often regarded as one of the best managers of all time. Klopp used to do wonders when he was a part of Borussia Dortmund, which is why people weren’t surprised when he continued to impress after he became a part of Liverpool. In fact, people who have read the review where CBET was rated by Nostrabet often picked Liverpool as their go-to betting option because the team became one of the best in the world during Klopp’s reign.

Ever since he joined the team back in 2015, Klopp managed to win the UEFA Champions League in 2018-2019, as well as the EPL. What’s interesting is that Liverpool had a total of 99 points during that season.

Klopp also managed to win the FIFA Coach of the Year award in 2019, as well as in 2020.

Gérard Houllier

The second manager on this list is Gérard Houllier, who had to work alongside Roy Evans in 1998. However, it seems like the two didn’t come to an agreement, which is why Evans decided to resign later this year.

Houllier had a significant impact on Liverpool because he signed many players. Moreover, he helped people, such as Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, and Jamie Carragher. The manager’s biggest success came in 2001 when Liverpool won the UEFA Cup, the League Cup, and the FA Cup.

Bill Shankly

Often referred to as the best manager in Liverpool’s history, Bill Shankly was a part of the club between 1959 and 1974. What’s interesting is that Liverpool was just a mere shadow of their former glory during those years. The team was in the Second Division and was not doing well, but once Shankly took control, he started rebuilding the entire team. Slowly but steadily, Liverpool started to become stronger and stronger and won several tournaments.

Bill Shankly was also famous for the fact he liked to help the club’s fans whenever he could.

Bob Paisley

Bob Paisley is one of the footballers whose career had to stop due to World War 2. Once that happened, Bob became a part of Liverpool’s staff, during the time of Bill Shankly. After the legendary manager resigned, the club decided to offer the job to Paisley.

Although it wasn’t easy, the manager helped the team win a total of 20 trophies in nine seasons.
