Two men brilliant with 9 out of 10
Liverpool player ratings vs Sheffield United as Ian Doyle gives his scores for the 2-0 win in the Premier League

Alisson Becker 7
Good stop from McGoldrick. Otherwise all about those blue gloves with the all-black kit until clutching from McBurnie late on.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 7
One delivery fashioned an opportunity for Salah. Defensively did his bit first half before turning his attention to the attack after the break.
Joe Gomez 8
Kept Mousset quiet before the break, bounced Stevens off the ball with one show of strength, and used the ball well. Improving game by game.
Virgil van Dijk 8
Searching ball released Robertson to assist the opener. Later got bored and ended going for a one-two in the Sheffield United area. Great tackle prevented Mousset racing clear just before half-time.
Andy Robertson 7
Fine run and low cross provided the first for Salah. Constantly probed down the left throughout the 90 minutes.
Jordan Henderson 9
Created chance for Salah and first to almost every ball in a midfield battle Liverpool dominated, cajoling his team-mates and setting the tempo brilliantly.
Gini Wijnaldum 9
Close with one shot too high after an excellent Reds move, and so industrious throughout. Didn't give Sheffield United a moment's peace.
James Milner 7
Slotted in with the minimum of fuss after Keita was forced out during the warm-up. Moved to left-back late on.
Mohamed Salah 8
Tucked the opener away expertly and twice denied by good Henderson saves. Later hit the post and was denied by the goalkeeper again, but was on point with an excellent pass for Mane's goal.
Roberto Firmino 7
A first half of nearly but not quite for the Brazilian, who couldn't quite find his passing range. Better after break and close with one ambitious 20-yard curler.
Sadio Mane 8
Some of his touches first half were delicious as he constantly ran and harassed the visiting defence. Brilliant burst down the left set in motion the clinching goal, which he finished at the second attempt. Subbed to a deserved ovation.
Divock Origi (for Mane 78)
Made a great tackle to prevent Sheffield United scoring an undeserved goal.
Adam Lallana (for Robertson 88)
Harvey Elliott (for Salah 90+1)
What a moment for the 16-year-old, making his Premier League debut.
