Liverpool Echo player ratings vs Chelsea

LIVERPOOL PLAYER RATINGS V CHELSEA

ALISSON BECKER 7 - There when he needed to be, especially to deny Hazard at 2-0. Distribution decent.

TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD 8 - No fear, even against top-class opposition. Good covering to deny Higuain, some lovely passes and a Cruyff turn from the heavens.

ANDY ROBERTSON 8 - I'm tired just from watching him.

VIRGIL VAN DIJK 8 - One mistake first half, otherwise immense. Made for Liverpool, him.

JOEL MATIP 7 - Lost his bearings a bit for 10 minutes or so second half. Generally did well.

FABINHO 8 - A solid, robust, classy performance in the middle of the park. He's as good as any holding player in the league, this lad.

JORDAN HENDERSON 8 - Composure, leadership, quality, energy, industry, and a superb assist. Hopefully not injured. He's in great form.

NABY KEITA 8 - Started the game outstandingly well, particularly impressing with his positional play. Impact waned a bit second half, his sub was the right one.

MOHAMED SALAH 9 - Just watch his goal.

SADIO MANE 8 - Broke the deadlock when Liverpool needed a hero. Ran Chelsea everywhere.

ROBERTO FIRMINO 8 - Got the Reds playing with his touches and his work-rate. He makes others shine.

SUBS

GINI WIJNALDUM 7 - Came on and tidied the game up when it had got a bit wild.

JAMES MILNER 7 - Perfect sub.

XHERDAN SHAQIRI 7 - He's alive! And he won a header, albeit one that went backwards!
