"So much more than a book of statistics.............."
We sent an early preview of our new book to the best writer on the Net (in our opinion) about all matters Liverpool, Wooltonian (you can see a collection of his articles here on LFChistory.net
) and this is what he said:
Believe me, anyone who buys this book is in for a real treat.
To me stats are stats. It is always good to have a reference book that show every stat in our history and it will be a great aid to any writers. But, THIS BOOK offers so much more!
The storyline throughout the book reflects on life in Liverpool in each decade as well as snippets about the very early LEGENDS. Some names you may never of heard of, but after reading this book, their names will become etched in your memories.
Everybody knows how barmy I am about Billy Liddell and this book really does put him where he belongs.. into FOLKLORE.
The passages about Shankly will have everyone "laughing and crying" some of the information you will have heard before but that will not spoil the read, it will just refresh your memory about what a God he was. Other stories are new to me and as a "Shankly Addict" I drank them in with a great thirst.
As a historical writer I found the excerpts from the Liverpool Echo of the day "superb". I firmly believe this will become a "MUST HAVE" book.
"I've been bored shitless since the end of last season. But after reading this book I cant wait for next season to start, where we will write the next chapter in our Glorious history"
Karl "Wooltonian" Brodrick
