Liverpool waltzed through to the third round of the Coca-Cola Cup with a comprehensive demolition of first division Burnley.
Two-goal Jamie Redknapp spearheaded a classy show from the Merseysiders, who wasted little time in adding to their 2-0 first-leg lead.
It was Redknapp who gave Liverpool a 15th minute lead and it was only some brave defending that prevented further goals until the 51st minute, when Robbie Fowler finished off a move of classic simplicity in cavalier style.
Burnley's sole replies came from long distance efforts from Liam Robinson and David Eyres, which failed to trouble Liverpool keeper David James.
Liverpool hit the goal trail again in the 68th minute, when Redknapp converted a short corner.
Eight minutes later Nigel Clough celebrated his first start of the season with a fierce volley from Fowler's dream pass.
However, there was some consolation for the Burnley fans in a crowd of more than 19,000 when Robinson hammered home an 84th minute blockbuster.
