The Daily Post and Echo both say Ross: "Becton, at the right moment, passed to Ross who shot a magnificent goal and thus equalised almost as the referee’s whistle went." The Courier says "At last there was a most beautiful run down by Becton and Hannah and an opportune pass by the latter enabled Ross to score the equalising goal."
