First – After half an hour’s play the ball was got through in the softest possible fashion, Robinson being credited with the point.
Second – Shortly afterwards another soft goal followed, the ball cannoning off a Port Vale player to Robinson, who, although standing in an offside position, was thereby placed onside, and who scored easily.
Third – Shortly before half-time Raybould scored a splendid goal for his side.
Fourth – Parkinson adding a fourth from close range.
Fifth – Early in the second half Cox secured the fifth after Robinson had struck the crossbar.
Sixth – Robinson, after committing a glaring foul, which the referee failed to notice, scored the sixth goal.
