Kornel Misciur is a promising goalkeeper who was born in Scarborough to Polish parents. After progressing through Hull City’s youth ranks, Misciur caught the attention of Liverpool’s recruitment team and joined the Academy setup at Kirkby in March 2023. A composed and technically gifted goalkeeper, Misciur is comfortable with the ball at his feet and fits naturally into the modern, possession-based style of play that Liverpool’s youth teams strive to emulate. His professionalism and strong mentality have been highlighted by Academy coaches, who see in him the qualities required to progress steadily through the system. He soon became part of the club’s Under-18 squad, earning praise for his confident displays and ability to read the game.

Misciur made the step up to the Under-21 side in 2024–25 and signed his first professional contract with the Reds in October 2024. The following summer he travelled with Arne Slot's first team on their Asia tour, gaining valuable experience around the senior setup. He was named on the bench when Liverpool faced Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League on 22 October 2025 — a clear sign of the faith the club has in his growing potential.
