Lowe to Forest

Mr. R.J. Marsters yesterday signed on for Nottingham Forest Harry Lowe, the half back who rendered the club such good service during the greater part of the war period. Lowe is a native of Whitwell, and the first club of note he played with was Gainsborough Trinity. From there he was transferred to Liverpool, and he became captain of the side.

In the early days of the present season he was again in the team, but meeting with a slight accident during training, he lost his place, and Liverpool have been doing so well that he has not been able to get back. Not being satisfied with a position in the reserve eleven, he became desirous of a change, and Liverpool have accepted the offer of the Forest.

Lowe feeds and supports his forwards well, and his experience should stand the “Reds” in good stead. He is 32 years of age, stands 5ft. 9in, and scales 12st. Lowe will be in the Forest team against Birmingham tomorrow.
