Dalla Valle spent three months at Inter Milan when he was fifteen, but after failing to settle in his father’s homeland returned to Finland. Dalla Valle was on trial at Liverpool in 2006 and offered a four-year contract after impressing Academy chief Malcolm Elias prompting him to comment: “He is a special talent, there’s no doubt about that. He can utilise the space given him well, is smart, has good vision on the pitch, controls the game and can score goals.” Dalla Valle felt it wasn’t the right time to move to England, but a year later Liverpool’s Chief Executive Rick Parry finalised a deal with the Finnish striker, which is rather unusual when signing a youth player. A natural finisher he scored 20 goals in 28 appearances for Liverpool’s u-18 team in the 2008/09 season which resulted in him being promoted to the reserves after only one year at the club. Dalla Valle made his first-team debut for Liverpool as a substitute in the Europa League third qualifying round against FK Rabotnicki on 29 July 2010. A month later Dalla Valla left for Fulham as part of the deal that brought Paul Konchesky to Anfield. Dalla Valle did not settle at Fulham and joined Molde in February 2013. His stay in Norway was quite brief and he moved to Second Division Belgian club Sint-Truiden in July 2013.

The Finnish striker played in seventeen Second Division matches for Sint-Truiden in the 2013/14 season but failed to score a single goal and returned to England with Crewe Alexandra, where he scored four goals in 21 appearances in 2014-15. The following season was less successful as Crewe were relegated and he managed two goals in fourteen games, being out for three months of the campaign with ankle ligament damage. He was released at the end of the season. Dalla Valle joined Zemun in Serbia where he lasted a couple of months before retiring in the summer of 2018 to focus on his photography and consultancy company in Italy.
