The England youth international who is born to parents from Zimbabwe is a left-winger. He is regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in the country as Liverpool beat a host of sides to land him in August 2023. Nyoni impressed so much with the Liverpool U-18 side that he was fast-tracked into the first-team set-up and he made his first-team debut in the 3-0 win against Southampton in the fifth round of the FA Cup after coming on for Harvey Elliott in the 78th minute. Nyoni signed his first professional contract for the Reds on 15 October 2024, committing him to the club until 30 June 2027. Southampton were also the opponents for his first senior start, in a League Cup quarter final tie on 18 December that year.
Nyoni's 2024/25 season was a testament to his rapid development. He featured in the Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup, making appearances against teams like Southampton, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Accrington Stanley . Notably, his substitution in the Champions League 3-2 defeat against PSV Eindhoven in January 2025 made him Liverpool's youngest-ever player in European competition. Operating primarily as a midfielder, Nyoni's technical skills and tactical awareness allow him to contribute effectively in both defensive and offensive situations. His work ethic and dedication to improvement suggest a promising future at Anfield. Nyoni will certainly serve a role for Arne Slot in the 2025/26 season as the Dutchman decided not to loan him out and keep him at Anfield.
