After what felt like a very lengthy summer as Liverpool fans prepared for life under Arne Slot and not Jurgen Klopp, transfer business as we reach Deadline Day has been very sparse with far more departures than arrivals so far - Federico Chiesa being the aberration - but our Premier League start under the new 45 year old Dutchman has been good.
Two wins from two is exactly how many wanted him to hit the ground running, and although there have been subtle tweaks, in many ways his approach seems to be if it is not broken, do not try and fix it as we play to our attacking strengths and pace.
In an era where football and entertainment increasingly intersect, Liverpool FC's global appeal extends beyond the pitch. Much like how casino-utan-svensk-licens.net has become a trusted name in the online casino industry, Liverpool FC has cultivated a brand that resonates with fans seeking excitement and quality experiences. This parallel underscores the club's ability to engage its audience across various platforms, reflecting the modern fan's diverse interests while maintaining the core focus on football excellence.
With that said, the window itself has been disappointing for the Anfield faithful this year, as it seems Slot trusts the players already at his disposal. One big boost for everyone though is that despite all the speculation surrounding some key players and their futures, particularly when Klopp announced he would be leaving, we have kept the likes of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk and it would seem incredibly unlikely at this late stage of the window that we would now entertain any sales at all.
With almost eight years under his belt at Anfield, 32 year old Salah is now into the final 12 months of his current deal, and as all fans will know, he will find himself as a free agent next summer as no new deal has been signed - and we rejected the opportunity to cash in on him last September when Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad came sniffing with a reported £150 million offer.
With preparations continuing for Sunday's trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, Salah has been out in front of the media and naturally his contract situation figured in the questioning.
The Egyptian certainly does not seem to be fussed at the moment, insisting that his only focus was on enjoying the last year of his deal, and then over the summer he will see what the future holds for him - and he has not ruled out potentially signing a new deal either.
His importance to the club cannot be understated though, as having joined for £34 million back in 2017 from Italian Serie A side AS Roma, he has gone on to score 213 goals in 351 appearances, and he sits in fifth place in our all time record goalscorers table.
With prior speculation about his continued future at the club, back in July 2022 he did pen a new three year deal which reportedly made him the highest ever paid player in our history - apparently earning in excess of £350,000 a week.
But simply put, he has been worth every penny and in his spell with us so far, under Klopp, he lifted every major trophy other than the Europa League, and that is some achievement.
Given the start we have had under Slot, there are certainly high hopes that Salah will lift another trophy or two in the 2024/25 campaign, and whatever Slot has been working on with him, it is clearly working as he has found the net in both of our opening games so far and he certainly looks like he is still very much enjoying his football with us.
Whether or not that is enough to tempt him into signing some kind of extension with us next summer remains to be seen, but fans will be hoping and will have their fingers crossed that he does just that.
