How Liverpool FC Evolved Over The Last Decade To Become The Fiercest Competitor

Since its establishment in 1892, Liverpool Football Club gained popularity and maintained the status of being one of England's best teams. The football club has won 19 championships and six European Cups. Its fans are entertained by the Reds' attacking football skills and their successes on the field.

Liverpool FC has kept itself relevant over the last decade by employing some of the best international managers, Kenny Dalglish and Brendan Rodgers. In their time with the club, they propelled the team forward and helped them overcome challenges, and bring in a unique set of players.

2011-2021 Accomplishments

On 15 October 2010, we saw Liverpool FC being sold to the New England Sports Ventures (NESV), now known as Fenway Sports Group. This is a move fans were not particularly happy about, but NESV deserved a chance to prove themselves and be judged through their actions. Their first big decision was to bring back Kenny Dalglish to take over as the Reds manager from Roy Hodgson. Fans couldn’t have been happier and agreed more with that choice.

Kenny then signed a three-year contract with Fenway Sports Group on 12 May 2011. As trusted, his great managerial skills started showing at the beginning of 2012. The team won the League Cup final at Wembley with betting platforms like Unibet fotball consistently having odds in their favour from the get go. LFC was playing against Cardiff City, and the two teams both scored two goals each. After the extra time whistle was blown, the Reds’ took home the trophy after penalties, the game finishing with a 3-2 win to Liverpool. After he had fulfilled his role, Kenny parted ways with LFC at the end of the season.

The 19th manager of Liverpool was introduced on 1 June 2012, Brandan Rodgers. His season was a challenging one as in May 2014, the doors to the Premier League title were closed for Liverpool FC. However, they simultaneously sealed the deal to reach the Champions League. As challenging as his season was, Rodgers managed to develop new players until he left the football club when his contract ended in October 2015.

When Jurgen Klopp, the previous manager of Borussia Dortmund, took over, the Anfield club overcame tough matches against Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and then Villareal FC in the Europa League final. They closed 2016 on a high when Ben Woodburn became the youngest goalscorer, scoring both goals against Leeds United.

LFC won the Champions League final in Madrid against Tottenham Hotspur by 2-0一earning them their sixth European Cup in 2019. The Reds won their first FIFA Club World Cup in a match against Flamengo the same year. As if they haven't done enough, Liverpool won their first Premier League title in 2020.

Conclusion

There is no doubt that Liverpool Football Club takes one of the prestigious seats of England's football clubs. Its work has earned them that seat as they have put England on the map, representing it locally and regionally. Fenway Sports Group's taking over the club may not have been some fan's favourite move, but as promised, the company took great actions to ensure that it maintained its status.
