Liverpool Legends through time

At Anfield, a passion for football and a humbling attitude is what drives the players to do their best. Even though the list could be much longer, we have picked 4 memorable Liverpool players, who contributed to making Liverpool FC what it is today.

Xabi Alonso

The Spanish midfielder had a great career in Liverpool. Xabi made his debut for Liverpool in 2004, and was a part of the team, that won the FA Cup final in 2006. He was injured and therefore could not play for the entire 90 minutes. Same year he scored a 70-yard goal, which was one of the most phenomenal goals ever at Anfield. He left in 2009, but remains an appreciated player, who had the determination and passion needed to play in Liverpool.

Jamie Carragher

This man is one of the unforgettable players of the Liverpool FC squad. His debut was in 1997, where it was clear, that he would be a gem for the team. An all-rounder, who played with enthusiasm, that cannot be found anywhere. Carragher was a one-club man and had played 737 matches for Liverpool at the end of his career. Carra will always have a place in our hearts as a true Liverpool player.

Steven Gerrard

When you think of Liverpool, you definitely think of Steven Gerrard. At the age of 18, he debuted for Liverpool, and quickly proved his worth. His versatility and skills on the field helped Liverpool win several cups, such as the FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League. And Gerrard's talent did not go unnoticed, meaning overtures from Chelsea and Real Madrid that he resisted in the end. Not only is Gerrard considered one of the best Liverpool players ever, but also one of the greatest midfielders of his generation. A local boy who found it very difficult to leave the club.

Kenny Dalglish

Kenny joined Liverpool in 1977 at age 26, after having starred for Celtic. Ahead were the most successful years for Liverpool. Kenny was almost like a psychic on the field, who could spot the next moves and openings, like no one’s business. His talent and modesty are what make him one of the greatest Liverpool players in history.
