Whitworth in from Stanton
Geoff Whitworth, the Stanton Ironworks’ 22-year-old full-back, signed professional forms for Liverpool on Saturday after a trial in their Central League side against Huddersfield Town Reserves.
In this match he appeared at right full-back but he is at home in either of the full-back positions.
He is the son of Jack Whitworth, who played for Chesterfield and Ripley Town.
