  • - Liverpool fan Declan Fitzpartick remembers his first Liverpool game: "Spurs had not won in decades at Anfield. Keegan and Toshack had developed a telepathic understanding. Ray Clemence had the original patent on "Safe Hands" - a home win was a pools banker. Spurs had other ideas. Two goals ten minutes before half-time from John Duncan and Chris Jones turned the form book on its head. Galvanised by the fervour of the Kop, the Reds discovered their passing game in the second half. Prompted by the midfield creativity of Peter Cormack and Jimmy Case and inspirational wing play of Steve Heighway, we lay siege to the Spurs goal. Keegan's penalty within ten minutes of the restart was the precursor to Case's first senior goal for the club in the 70th minute. Two minutes later a Terry McDermott corner was helped on by Toshack and Heighway's touch was to fly past keeper Pat Jennings."
