  • - The match was overshadowed by an incident involving El Hadji Diouf late in the game. Diouf spat at a Celtic supporter near the touchline after retrieving the ball for a throw-in. Following the match, Celtic lodged a complaint and the incident was investigated by the police. Diouf denied deliberately spitting at a fan, but he was charged and fined £5,000 by Glasgow Sheriff Court.
