Left-back Chambers has been at Liverpool since age six. He was on the first-team's pre-season tour to Thailand and Singapore in the summer of 2022 and signed a new contract as the club was delighted with his progress. Chambers had worn the captain’s armband on many occasions for the U-18s in the 2021/22 campaign. Chambers was an unused substitute in the 2-2 draw at Fulham on the opening day of 2022/23 and scored twice in the UEFA Youth League group stages. He spent the second half of the season on loan at Kilmarnock, starting thirteen of the fifteen matches he was available for. Chambers made his debut for Liverpool's first team in a 3-1 win against Leicester in the League cup at Anfield on 27 September 2023 and made three appearances in the Europa League. He was loaned to Wigan Athletic in January 2024 for the remainder of the season. He made eighteen appearances as a centre back, left back or left midfield, scoring once.

A further season long loan was agreed for 2024/25 with Chambers telling the club website: "I love everything about the club - the fans, my team-mates, the manager and the backroom staff - and it was an easy choice. It’s a really exciting project for the season and hopefully we can push on for promotion". Chambers started the first ten games of the season at left-back, but was then troubled by a back injury which limited him to just two more appearances.
