Player Profile
Liverpool-born outside-right Woan made a short trip from Bootle to Liverpool in October 1950. He was however mainly a reserve at Liverpool, featuring in 33 Central League games and scoring three goals. Woan's two league appearances for the Reds were in consecutive matches against Derby County and Everton in January 1951. He became part of an exchange deal with Leyton Orient in November 1951 when Liverpool transferred Woan and £6,500 for 18-year-old Brian Jackson. Woan changed clubs rapidly until ending in amateur football with Yeovil Town. On 28th April 2020 a statement on the club website said that he had passed away aged 92. He was the oldest living ex player.
