Player Profile
Taylor was at Anfield for five seasons in the 1930's but could never really be considered as a first-team regular as he made only 70 league appearances during that period out of a possible 210. Twenty-two of those appearances came in his first season at Anfield, 1932/33, a year when the club finished in the lower-half of the table in fourteenth place. Taylor usually played in the forward-line but these were mediocre times for the club when the team was far from settled and only once during his five years on Liverpool's books did they finish in the top half of the table, when they were seventh in 1935.
