Player Profile
Outside-right Staniforth originally made his name at first division Bristol City where he played over 150 games from 1906-1911. The highlight of his career was in 1909 when City lost to Manchester United 1-0 in the FA Cup final. Staniforth's Liverpool debut came in a crushing 4-1 home defeat by Sheffield Wednesday on 4 October 1913. He missed the next five games but returned for consecutive matches against Preston and Newcastle in November of the same year.
