Player Profile
Samuel Hignett made his only appearance as a left-half in a 1-0 win at home to Sunderland on 12 October 1907. The match programme said Liverpool's defence were shaky but Hignett was "distinctly promising. At first he was nervous and anxious but afterwards he controlled his wing admirably." He eventually settled in South Australia, where he died in 1950.
