Player Profile

Just a single first-team appearance is recorded for Benjamin Bull. He took over from regular winger Malcolm McVean when Liverpool played host to Lincoln City on 25 January 1896. Lincoln were thrashed 6-1 and he scored Liverpool's second goal which was so described in the Liverpool Mercury: "Geary a little later on dashed down the wing with a swift run and centred, and, after Bull had shot against the post, the same player very neatly sent into the net." Despite his goal, Bull didn't keep his place in the side and McVean came back for the remainder of the season when Liverpool won the Second Division.
