Player Profile

Signed from Preston in February 1967, for whom Wilson had made 170 League appearances and scored 29 goals from 1960-67 and featured in the brave second division team that lost 3-2 to a injury-time winner against West Ham in the 1964 FA Cup Final. Winger Wilson made his only Liverpool appearance as a substitute for Gordon Milne in the very last match of the 1966/67 season, at home to Blackpool. Wilson was transferred back to Preston at the end of the 1967/68 season and added 111 League games to his total for the Deepdale club, scoring ten goals and winning the Third Division in the 1970/71 season.
