Player Profile

Laffey is a central midfielder who joined Liverpool’s Academy from Everton as an under-10 player. A native of Fazakerley in north Liverpool, he progressed through the club’s youth ranks at Kirkby and became a regular for the Under-18 side while still a schoolboy. He is noted for his range of passing and composure in possession, often dictating the tempo from midfield. Comfortable in tight spaces and effective from set-pieces, he can also play a deeper role to shield the defence when required.

During the 2023–24 season, Laffey stepped up to the Under-21 squad, reflecting his steady development within the Academy setup. He was an unused substitute for the first team in the 3-0 defeat at Anfield against Crystal Palace on 29 October 2025.
