  • Lawrence, Byrne, Moran, Smith, Lawler, Stevenson, Callaghan, Arrowsmith, St John, Wallace, Graham.

In 1967 Meidericher Spielverein took on the name by which they are currently known, MSV Duisburg. Meiderich was formerly a city which subsequently became a district of the Ruhr city of Duisburg.

On the same evening England beat the United States of America 10-0 at the Downing Stadium in New York in front of a crowd of only 5,062, a significantly lower attendance than the 13,000 who had watched Liverpool play Hamburg at the same stadium three days earlier. Roger Hunt scored four of England's goals, two in each half.
