Alisson Becker 8
Good save from Gallardo for opener but couldn't prevent rebound being scored. Three times thwarted Pabon, one a necessary touch from a low cross to prevent Funes Mori tapping in a second.

James Milner 6
Augmented attack first half and drew decent save from Barovero. Recovered after receiving heavy challenge, and one cross created chance for Origi second half. Subbed.

Joe Gomez 6
Some good passing out of defence and held his line well before the break. Needless yellow card when bringing down Funes Mori, though.

Jordan Henderson 6
Pushed into an emergency centre-back role and reasonably effective. No major risks and good positional sense.

Andy Robertson 6
Caught out for the equaliser and wasn't able to get forward much down the left. Touch deserted him at times.

Adam Lallana 6
Solid enough in possession but on occasion caught out by holding on to the ball too often. Kept plugging away, however.

Naby Keita 8
Excellent run and finish for his goal and combined well with Salah. Barovero denied him a second after another timely sprint in behind, the Guinean also forcing save second half after good feet.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 6
Some flashes of attacking inspiration, such as when playing in Keita, but his work was more diligent defensively.

Mohamed Salah 8
Clobbered early but dusted himself down to produce a brilliant turn and pass for Keita's opener and another assist for Milner chance. Put on a show first half but more quiet after break until key part in the winner.

Divock Origi 5
Down the middle, the Belgian made negligible impact before the interval. Switched to the left second half but didn't get going. Subbed.

Xherdan Shaqiri 5
Started brightly but didn't use the ball well enough on the rare occasions he threatened in forward positions. Faded second half and subbed.

Sadio Mane (for Shaqiri 68) 6
Introduced on the right but later going left, fired one at Barovero.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (for Milner 74) 7
Brilliant low cross created the deciding goal in injury time.

Roberto Firmino (for Origi 85)
Just enough time to score the winner.
