Player Profile
Victor Munoz developed through the youth systems of CE San Gabriel, Barcelona and CF Damm before joining Real Madrid in 2021. An exciting wide forward blessed with pace and direct running, he quickly established himself as one of the standout performers in Madrid's academy, earning promotion to Castilla after impressing at youth level. The winger enjoyed a breakthrough 2024/25 campaign with Castilla, contributing goals and assists on a regular basis and earning his senior debut for Real Madrid late in the season. Despite his progress, first-team opportunities were expected to be limited, prompting a permanent move to Osasuna in the summer of 2025 in search of regular top-flight football.
Munoz adapted quickly to La Liga and became one of Osasuna's most dangerous attacking players during the 2025/26 season. Comfortable on either wing, he combined explosive acceleration with intelligent movement and a willingness to take on defenders in one-on-one situations. His energetic style, relentless work rate and ability to attack space behind defences helped him produce seven goals and five assists in 34 appearances, attracting interest from several leading European clubs. His performances also earned international recognition. Munoz made his senior Spain debut in March 2026, marking the occasion with a goal, before being selected for the victorious Spain squad for the 2026 World Cup. He didn't play a single minute in the competition but facts will tell you that he is a World Cup winner as a Liverpool player.
Liverpool agreed a deal to sign Munoz on 18 June 2026, with the transfer becoming official on 1 July. Still only 22, he arrives as one of the brightest attacking talents to emerge from Spain in recent years. Capable of playing on either flank or in more central attacking roles, Munoz offers versatility, speed and a fearless approach in possession. While refinement of his decision-making remained part of his development, his technical ability, pressing intensity and willingness to run at defenders suggest he possesses the attributes to flourish in the Premier League over the coming years. Munoz's greatest weapon is his explosive pace. During the 2025/26 season he recorded a top speed of 35.4 km/h, making him the second-fastest player in La Liga behind Vinícius Júnior. He also led the division for attacking accelerations with 28 and ranked fourth for successful dribbles, underlining his ability to carry the ball at speed and beat defenders in one-on-one situations. His direct running, willingness to attack space behind defences and capacity to turn defence into attack in an instant made him one of Spain's most exciting young attacking players.
