  • Liverpool keeper Bert Slater suffered a kick in the head early in the game and had to go off for 30 minutes. He was replaced in goal by Kevin Lewis. He went back in goal for the second half, the Daily Post reporting that he made three great saves, but at the end of the match had to ask teammates what the final score was.
