Player profile
A forward who played in the last nine League matches of the 1931/32 first division campaign and made one more appearance the following season. Hancock made his debut on 28 March 1932 when Huddersfield Town won 3-0 at Anfield and his final appearance was as part of the team beaten by Middlesbrough at Anfield on 2 February 1933. In between those two defeats, Hancock had scored twice, an eighty-eighth minute winner against Chelsea at Anfield on 6 April and the first goal in a 2-1 victory over Arsenal, also at Anfield, three days later. Hancock had a successful career at Burnley under the guidance of former Red, Tom Bromilow, from 1932-1936, playing 109 second division games and scoring 20 goals.
