Player profile
After scoring nine goals in 20 games for the Millwall u-18 team in the 2006/07 season Amoo joined Liverpool's Academy in July 2007. The right-winger was promoted to Melwood in 2009 and made his debut for Liverpool's first team in the Europa League third qualifying round against FK Rabotnicki on 29 July 2010. Amoo wasn't considered strong enough to challenge for a first-team place at Liverpool and was loaned out to MK Dons in League One and Hull City in the Championship for two months in the latter part of 2010/11. He spent the majority of 2011/12 on loan at League One side Bury where he played 27 League matches and scored four times. Among his goals was the winner against Preston at Gigg Lane in November 2011. He clearly impressed Preston North End who agreed to sign him following the expiry of his Liverpool contract on 1 June 2012. After 15 substitute appearances and nine starts for Preston Amoo's one-year deal was terminated by mutual consent in January 2013. He didn't have to look long and far for another club and joined Tranmere Rovers, whose boss Ronnie Moore was delighted. "He's a player I tried to bring in last summer and one I'm excited to have at the club. He's got fantastic pace, he can beat players and he can score goals too. He can play out wide or up front and he gives us extra attacking options."
Amoo once represented London as a sprinter in the English Schools National Track and Field Championships and his personal best in the 100 metres sprint is said to be 10.5 seconds.
