Fred was selected for the first 8 league games of the 1903-04 season but then lost his place in Liverpool's forward-line to Chadwick. He returned for the home match with Wolverhampton a couple of weeks before Christmas but was immediately left out again and made only a further 4 appearances in the first-team. Fred's only goal for the club came in the Boxing Day defeat by Blackburn Rovers at Anfield. |
