Notes

Liverpool Echo:
First goal – Cox tried the Gainsborough with a Beauty. Bagshaw fumbled with the ball and was unable to recover himself before Parkinson was upon him and completed the trick.
Second – Raybould had thus a free centre and, with perfect command of the sphere, he sped along at a grand rate and without waiting for Bagshaw to measure him up, shot swift, sure and successfully.
Third – Finally Raybould slipped through cleverly and Bagshaw was beaten for a third time.
Fourth – But after several more exchanges the Anfield centre (Parkinson) once more gained possession and carried the leather right into the goalmouth where, with his back to the goal, he suddenly swung around and with a terrific screw shot registered the fourth goal.
Fifth – After a number of capital efforts had failed, Parkinson broke through and passed to Raybould who, though closely pressed, scored a fifth with great gameness.
Sixth – Goddard scored the sixth goal.
