Our Encyclopedia reviewed by This is Anfield

One of the biggest Liverpool sites in existence, Thisisanfield.com has published a review of The Liverpool Encyclopedia, written by the prolific Matt Ladson.

The following is a copy of the review.

Huge credit to the authors Arnie Baldursson and Gudmundur Magnusson, and publishers deCoubertin books for what is a beautifully produced item.

I genuinely don’t think I have ever seen such a wonderfully presented book – not just football book, any book. This is the highest quality of production and credit should go to all involved, including the publishers, writers and designers.

The contents are incredibly well laid out, researched and written. For a any Liverpool supporter this is the perfect place to find all the stories, information and history of not just the players but everything involved with Liverpool FC.

Attention to detail is an often used phrase but this has the lot – 650 full colour pages, 420,000 words, 1,100 images.

More than just a book on Liverpool players, or matches, the authors add depth to the story and history of the club with features on fanzines, songs, former coaches, specific competitions like the World Club Cup and plenty more.

It’s a cliche to say a book is a must-read or must-have for a Liverpool supporter, but this genuinely is. Fair enough, you can cope without a players’ biography or a book just full of results, but this is an in-depth A-Z of Liverpool FC, nothing is missed out.
